Build around the activity
Living in Bali, working remotely for an overseas company and running an Indonesian business create different questions. Start with your work, customers and intended stay, then confirm the business classification, foreign-ownership eligibility, capital and permissions.
Connect banking and invoicing
Map the contracting entity, customers and payment flows. Prepare personal and corporate banking separately, and bring the accountant into the discussion about invoicing, tax registration and reporting. An overseas account does not settle the local obligations.
Match the visa to your role
Visitor, remote-worker, investor, employment and family routes have different conditions. A company registration alone does not provide permission to do any kind of work. Have the intended role and current requirements checked together.
Know what the property right means
A lease, Hak Pakai and company-held HGB are different arrangements. Foreign individuals cannot hold Hak Milik freehold land. Put the title, zoning, permitted use and contract in front of independent legal and PPAT advisers before committing.
